1 cup Apples, peeled and diced
half cup Raisins
quarter cup Brown sugar
quarter cup Apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated
2 tbsp Mustard seeds
1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon Ground allspice
1 teaspoon Salt
2 tbsp Water
Tips
Keep the chutney in a sterilized jar in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Directions
Prepare Ingredients: Peel and dice the apples, and measure out all other ingredients.
Combine: In a medium saucepan, combine diced apples, raisins, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ginger, mustard seeds, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and water.
Cook: Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer.
Simmer: Cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and the chutney thickens.
Cool: Remove from heat and allow it to cool. The chutney will thicken further as it cools.
Store: Transfer the chutney to a sterilized jar for storage.
