4 tbsp Oil
1 tablespoon Urad dal
1 tablespoon Mustard seeds
1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
quarter teaspoon Hing(asafoetida)
8 pieces Green chillies
1 tablespoon Ginger, Chopped
quarter cup Curry leaves
1 cup Rava(semolina)
1 cup Oats flour
1 tablespoon Salt
Tips
Adjust the quantity of green chillies according to your spice preference.
Ensure the premix is completely cooled before storing it to prevent moisture buildup.
Experiment with adding your favorite spices or herbs to customize the flavor.
Directions
In a pan, heat oil over medium heat.
Add urad dal, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, green chillies, grated ginger, and curry leaves. Mix well and let it splutter.
Add rava (semolina) to the pan and roast for about 6 minutes until it turns golden brown, stirring continuously.
Next, add oats flour to the pan and roast for another 8 minutes until it emits a nutty aroma and turns golden brown.
Season with salt and mix well. Allow the mixture to cool completely.
Transfer the cooled premix to an airtight container. It can be stored at room temperature for up to 20 days.
Notes
Individuals with gluten intolerance should avoid this premix or use certified gluten-free oats flour.
Those with a sensitivity to spicy foods may need to adjust the quantity of green chillies accordingly.
