1 teaspoon Ghee
quarter teaspoon Jeera
4 pieces Garlic cloves, minced
1 inch Ginger, finely chopped
half Serving Green chili, finely chopped
quarter cup Coriander leaves
1 teaspoon Sea salt
quarter teaspoon Turmeric powder
Black pepper as per taste
2 cups Water
half piece Lemon
Tips
For a richer flavor, you can roast the drumsticks in the oven before adding them to the soup.
Adjust the amount of green chili based on your preference for heat.
The lemon juice adds a fresh zest; add it just before serving to preserve its vibrant flavor.
Directions
Start by cleaning and slicing the drumsticks into 2-inch pieces. Mince the garlic, chop the ginger, green chili, and coriander leaves.
In a large pot, heat the A2 desi ghee over medium heat. Once hot, add jeera and allow them to sizzle for a few seconds.
Add the minced garlic, ginger, and green chili to the pot. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is golden and fragrant.
Place the sliced drumsticks into the pot and stir well to coat them in the aromatics and ghee.
Sprinkle the turmeric powder, sea salt, and a dash of black pepper over the drumsticks. Stir to combine.
Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until the drumsticks are tender.
Once the drumsticks are cooked, turn off the heat and add the lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves. Give the soup a final stir.
Ladle the hot soup into bowls and enjoy a comforting and nutritious meal.
