Vrat Ka Dosa, a delightful and easy-to-make dish, is perfect for fasting days. With a crispy exterior and a soft, flavorful interior, this dosa pairs wonderfully with vrat ki chutney and aloo ki sabzi, making your fasting experience both satisfying and nutritious.
Ingredients
4
quarter cup Sabudana
half cup Sama rice
1 piece Potato
3 pieces Green chilli
2 pieces Ginger
2 tbsp Curd
Salt as per taste
1 & half cups Water
1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
1 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
Coriander as per choice
Ghee as per needed
Tips
Add water gradually to achieve the desired batter consistency.
Directions
Heat a pan over high heat. Once hot, lower the flame and dry roast the sabudana until lightly toasted. Transfer to a bowl and let it cool completely.
In a mixer grinder, combine the toasted sabudana, sama rice, diced potato, green chilli, ginger, curd, sendha namak, and 1.5 cups of water. Grind to a smooth batter.
Transfer the batter to a bowl, cover, and let it rest while you prepare the chutney and aloo ki sabzi.
After resting, add 0.25 cup of water to adjust the batter’s consistency. Stir in cumin seeds, black pepper powder, and fresh coriander.
Heat a dosa tawa or a non-stick pan over high heat until very hot.
Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly to form a net-like structure.
Reduce the flame to low, add ghee over the dosa, and cook until the dosa starts to brown and crisp up.
Once golden brown spots appear, use a spatula to peel off the dosa, fold, and remove from the pan. Your dosa is ready!
