Ingredients
4
2 & half cups Water
1 cup Jaggery
1 cup Fresh coconut
1 teaspoon Ginger
half teaspoon Salt
2 tbsp Ghee
1 cup Rice semolina
1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
Saffron as per taste
Cashew as per taste
Tips
Adjust jaggery quantity according to sweetness preference.
Use freshly grated coconut for enhanced flavor.
Store in an airtight container for lasting freshness.
Directions
In a saucepan, mix water, jaggery, grated coconut, grated ginger, and salt. Heat and let it cook until jaggery dissolves completely.
In another pan, heat ghee and roast rice semolina until aromatic.
Add the roasted semolina to the boiling mixture. Stir well.
Add cardamom powder and saffron. Cook until the mixture thickens to a semi-solid consistency.
Grease a mould with ghee and pour the mixture into it. Let it set for a while.
Top the mixture with cashews, then cut into small pieces and serve.
Makes approximately 12-15 pieces.
