quarter cup Moong Dal
250 grams Lauki(bottle gourd)
2 tbsp Oil
1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
1 piece Tomato , Chopped
Salt as per taste
half teaspoon Turmeric powder
half teaspoon Cumin powder
1 teaspoon Coriander powder
1 teaspoon Red chili powder
half teaspoon Garam masala
1 cup Water

Directions
Soak yellow moong dal in water for 2-3 hours, then drain and set aside.
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Add chopped tomatoes and sauté until they turn soft.
Stir in salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Mix well.
Add soaked moong dal and chopped lauki (bottle gourd) to the pan. Mix until well combined.
Pour in water and bring the mixture to a gentle boil.
Cover the pan and let it cook for 10-15 minutes or until the dal and lauki are tender.
Once cooked, garnish with fresh coconut and coriander leaves.
Serve hot with roti or rice for a wholesome meal experience.
