half cup Tur dal
half teaspoon Turmeric
1 piece Tomato, Chopped
1 Tbs Oil
1 & half cups Water
2 Tbs Red chilli powder
1 teaspoon Tamarind paste
1 Tbs Goda masala
half Tbs Jaggery
Salt as per taste
2 tbsp Oil
1 teaspoon Cumin
1 teaspoon Mustard
quarter teaspoon Hing
6 pieces Garlic, Chopped
6 pieces Curry leaves
Fresh coconut as per taste
Coriander as per taste
Tips
Adjust spice levels according to preference.

Ensure the dal is thoroughly cooked for a smooth consistency.
Directions
In a pressure cooker, combine washed Tur Dal, Turmeric, Chopped Tomato, Oil, and Water.
Close the lid and cook for about 3 whistles or until the dal is soft and well-cooked.
Once cooked, whisk the dal to smooth consistency. Adjust the consistency by adding water if necessary.
For the tadka, heat oil in a separate pan. Add Cumin seeds, Mustard seeds, Hing, Chopped Garlic, and Curry Leaves. Saute until the garlic turns golden brown.
Pour the tadka over the cooked dal. Add Red Chilli Powder, Tamarind Paste, Goda Masala, Jaggery, and Salt. Mix well.
Let the dal boil for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Garnish with grated Coconut and Fresh Coriander.
Serve hot with steamed rice or chapati.
