250 grams Mutton

Salt as per taste

1 cup Water

1 inch Cinnamon

1 Star Star anise

4 pieces Black Peppercorns

4 pieces Cloves

2 pieces Cardamom pods

8 pieces Garlic Cloves

2 inches Ginger

half cup Coriander leaves

quarter cup Mint leaves

1 tablespoon Ghee

2 pieces Bay leaves

2 Onions Onions

2 cups Rice

3 tbsp Kolhapuri kanda lasun masala

1 tablespoon Coriander powder

1 piece Lemon Juice

3 cups Water

Tips

Adjust spice levels according to preference.

Directions

Heat the pressure cooker and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Add mutton, salt, and 1 cup of water. Cook until 3 whistles.

Dry roast cinnamon, star anise, black peppercorns, cloves, and cardamom. Grind them with garlic, ginger, coriander leaves, and mint leaves to form a smooth paste.

Heat a pot and add ghee and oil. Add bay leaves and sliced onions. Sauté until golden brown.

Add the prepared masala paste, soaked rice, Kolhapuri kanda lasun masala, cooked mutton, coriander powder, salt, lemon juice, and 3 cups of water.

Cover and let it boil on high flame. Once boiling, transfer the pot onto a heated pan. Reduce the flame to low, cover the pot, and cook for about 20 minutes on the pan.
