300 grams Prawns, peeled and deveined
100 grams All purpose flour
50 grams Cornstarch
1 piece Egg
120 ml Ice - cold water
Salt as per taste
Black pepper as per taste
Garlic powder as per taste
Tips
For a lighter coating, you can use sparkling water instead of ice-cold water in the batter.
Serve with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as soy sauce or sweet chili sauce.
Directions
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
In another bowl, whisk the egg and ice-cold water until frothy.
Dip each prawn into the egg mixture, then coat evenly with the flour mixture.
Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the coated prawns in a single layer.
Air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through.
