1 piece Bay leaf
half inch Cinnamon
4 pieces Black pepper
1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
quarter teaspoon Asafoetida
6 Curry Curry leaves
3 pieces Green chillies
4 Cloves Garlic Cloves
1 tablespoon Grated ginger
quarter cup Ragi flour
quarter cup Curd
1 cup Water
Salt as per taste
1 teaspoon Sugar
Tips
You can adjust the spice level to your preference by altering the amount of green chilies.
Serve with rice or as a soup for a complete meal.
If you want a thinner consistency, add more water during cooking.
Directions
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.
Add bay leaf, cinnamon, black pepper, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida (hing), curry leaves, and chopped green chilies. Sauté until fragrant.
Add chopped garlic and grated ginger. Mix well and sauté until garlic turns golden brown.
In a bowl, mix ragi flour, curd, and water until smooth.
Pour the ragi-curd mixture into the pan. Add more water if needed to adjust consistency.
Cook for 8-10 minutes until the kadhi thickens.
Add salt and sugar, mix well, and cook for another minute.
Serve hot garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
