half cup Curd
1 piece Green chili
half inch Ginger
1 tablespoon Sugar
Salt as per taste
half cup Water
1 teaspoon Fruit salt
2 tbsp Oil
1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
6 pieces Curry leaves
2 pieces Green Chilies
1 tablespoon Sugar
Salt as per taste
0.33 cup Water
Tips
Ensure the consistency of the batter is smooth without any lumps for fluffy dhoklas.
Adjust the amount of green chili according to your spice preference.
Steam the dhokla until a toothpick inserted comes out clean for perfectly cooked dhoklas.
Directions
In a bowl, mix together rava, curd, chopped green chili, grated ginger, sugar, salt, and water. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, add fruit salt to the mixture. Add a little water and mix well.
Grease a mold with oil and pour the mixture into it. Steam for about 15 minutes on high flame until properly cooked.
Once done, cut the dhokla into pieces.
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Add curry leaves, slit green chilies, sugar, salt, and water. Let it boil.
Pour this tadka over the dhokla pieces.
Garnish with sev and serve hot with your favorite chutney.
