half teaspoon Red chili powder

quarter teaspoon Black salt

quarter teaspoon Turmeric powder

1 tablespoon Tamarind chutney

1 tablespoon Mint chutney

1 piece Onion

1 piece Tomato

1 piece Green chili

2 tbsp Coriander leaves

1 tablespoon Roasted peanuts

Tips

For a crunchier texture, you can fry the sweet potatoes instead of roasting them.

Make-ahead tip: Roast the sweet potatoes in advance and assemble the chaat just before serving to save time.

Feel free to add other toppings like pomegranate seeds for extra flavor.

Directions

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).

In a large bowl, toss the cubed sweet potatoes with olive oil until evenly coated.

Spread the sweet potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the sweet potatoes are tender and lightly browned, flipping halfway through.

In a small bowl, mix together chaat masala, cumin powder, red chili powder, black salt, and turmeric powder.

Once the sweet potatoes are roasted, transfer them to a mixing bowl.

Sprinkle the spice mix over the roasted sweet potatoes and toss gently to coat.

Drizzle tamarind chutney and mint chutney over the sweet potatoes and toss again until well combined.

Add chopped onion, tomato, green chili, and coriander leaves to the bowl and toss gently.

Transfer the Sweet Potato Chaat to serving plates.

Garnish with crushed peanuts and sev.

Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
